Personal

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two boys, wife, and dog (Ginger).

I also enjoy the outdoors, including biking, skiing, sailing, and ultralight backpacking with a hammock. You can read all about my traverse of the northern crux of Andrew Skurka’s Wind River High Route.

Photography has long been a passion, though I find that increasingly I’m carrying my phone instead of my SLR.  A few years ago I held an exhibit at Gettysburg College’s Musselman Library called Hidden Talents: “Luminous India”

And check out a few assorted things on this planet that I think are just great:   Art of Problem Solving, Bogleheads, Gaia GPS, Google Earth Engine, Landsat Satellites, More Perfect, Mysterious Benedict Society, National Hurricane Center, New York Times Upshot, New Yorker’s Caption Contest, Notability, On the Media, Tarptent, The Wire, Westworld, Zak George

For a bit of fun, check out my Erdős–Bacon number or my brief appearance on Late Night with Stephen Colbert.
